Joliet Prison
This solo exhibition of my photographs of the Joliet Prison in the Gaylord Building in Lockport highlights community efforts in the preservation and adaptive reuse of the Old Joliet Prison. I visited the prison site in Fall 2015 to photograph the architectural elements visible from outside the prison walls. My images capture the unique legacy of William W. Boyington, one of Illinois’ most important early architects. The exhibit runs from February 4th to January 2017. During this time, it became published in articles in the Woodridge Suburban Life Newspaper, Herald News, News Release, The Lewis Flyer, and The Times Weekly.
